Exam results for 2011 are out and Islington schools have again improved.
Results for GCSEs show an increase in students achieving 5 or more A* – C grade GCSEs has risen to 75 per cent. This is up 3 per cent on 2010, and above the 70% getting 5 good GCSEs nationally.
Provisional A-level data shows Islington sixth formers achieved a 99 per cent pass rate, with 71 per cent of students awarded A*-C grades. 41 per cent of students were awarded A*-B grades.
