This data for the whole of London from the london.gov.uk datastore shows the number of journeys on the public transport network by TFL reporting period, by type of transport. Data is broken down by bus, underground, DLR, tram, Overground and cable car.
Period 5 Tube journeys were down 8% on the same period last year, while bus journeys saw no change. The number of journeys made on the Emirates Air Line cable car was down 64% compared with the previous period, at 195,000. Underground Delays – Period 2 Network LCH at 1.3 million was 0.3 million lower than last Period. Number of Bicycle Hires – The number of cycle hires in August was 22% lower than the same month in 2012.
Period lengths are different in periods 1 and 13, and the data is not adjusted to account for that.
Docklands Light Railway journeys are based on automatic passenger counts at stations.
Overground and Tram journeys are based on automatic on-carriage passenger counts.
Reliable Overground journey numbers have only been available since October 2010.
The Emirates Air Line cable car service began in 28 June 2012. Weekly passenger statistics are available from the TFL website.
