The community trigger allows you to request a review if you believe that no action has been taken in response to your reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB).
It is a tool that has been introduced as part of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Islington Council, along with the police, local housing providers and health services have worked together to bring in the community trigger and give more protection to residents.
You can use the community trigger if:
- You have reported ASB to the council, police and/or registered housing provider three times in the last six months
- no action has been taken
- your case has been closed. (If it is still open you must wait for the outcome.)
